Verified Credentials Partners with Symphony Workforce Foundation to Teach Nebraska Students the Importance of Background Screening and Personal Data

We are excited to announce that, in conjunction with One Source – a Verified Credentials Company, we have partnered with Symphony Workforce Foundation’s Find the Why! (FTW!) career platform to provide background screening and personal data education to Nebraska students. Our shared objective is to enhance transparency, accountability, and education within the student-employer pipeline. With many team members who call Nebraska home, we are eager to help land Nebraska as a frontrunner in youth workforce development readiness.   

When students reach out to employers or apply for internships, they now have the convenient option to complete background checks and verification services right within the FTW! platform. Also, the new micro-credential modules on Personal Accountability and Financial Literacy from Symphony Workforce give students a better grasp of their legal rights, financial responsibilities, and data privacy. When used together, these features are the perfect recipe for building trust between students and organizations, letting young people feel empowered to take charge of their personal information management records, and offering a leg up on joining the modern workforce. 

Staying true to our focus on transparency and education, parents and guardians of FTW! participants can access informative resources designed to help them better understand the background screening process—including topics like the types of information collected and how that information is used—as well as helpful tips for students to manage their credentials with confidence.
